EPA offers "Lead-Safe Certified Firm" logo for use by Certified Firms - The new EPA Rule regarding lead based paint (40 CFR Part 745) requires that any contractor/renovator working on a pre-1978 residential building who disturbs more than six (6) square feet of painted surface must have taken an approved training course to become a Certified Renovator.
